How can a Web thermometer be made accessible via the Internet?

As regards the hardware, the Web thermometer is initially only available in the local Ethernet LAN. By virtue of the use of TCP/IP which, as a protocol, also constitutes the foundation of the entire Internet, it is naturally possible from here to use any available network infrastructure up to and including the Internet itself. A simple way of making Web thermometers accessible all over the world even without an officially assigned IP address is provided by NAT (Network Address Translation) which is integrated in several WAN routers.
