In many cases there is a need to equip the ports of a serial interface card with different interface types. For example, it may be necessary to use COM1 as a 20mA programming interface for a PLC because the software used only supports this port, while an RS232 terminal device should be connected to COM2.
For such problems, W&T offers an elegant solution that does not require the use of additional external hardware: The module concept of the serial W&T PC cards allows a completely free choice of interface type by equipping the PC card base board with plug-in modules, which convert the internal TTL signals into the required interface signals.
The combined interface cards are assembled in our company according to your wishes and delivered ready for installation. Replacing the built-in interface is also possible later without any problems by replacing the interface module and can be done by yourself with little effort.
