The Isolator model 66201 enables galvanically isolated connection between RS422 devices and RS485 bus systems.

Problem of compensating currents:
Control loops are often potential-free. But if the controllers are connected to ground through the control bus and PC, compensation currents can unbalance the entire control loop. In such cases you need to ensure that the bus is only connected to the PC galvanically isolated or that the PC is made potential-free by suitable means.
