Windows COM Redirection
Install com redirection and configure your serial program to one of the virtual COM ports - done! Whether as a replacement for missing hardware COM ports, a solution for virtual environments such as VMware, HyperV, etc. or as a simple line driver, your serial communication becomes network-capable without a line of programming and TLS-PSK encrypted on request. Multipoint operation and packaging options are of course also available here. Data sheet with download link
Box-to-Box
Connect 2 Com-Servers logically with each other with just a few clicks and use an operating system-independent, transparent and, if desired, TLS-encrypted data tunnel through the network. Serial data is transmitted bidirectionally and as quickly as possible to the respective opposite side. Automatic reconnect functions in the event of connection malfunctions/interruptions are available, as well as multipoint operation and packaging options for fine-tuning in conjunction with serial protocols. To the application example ...
TCP/UDP socket communication
Network programming is now part of the standard repertoire of all programmers. Easily integrate your serial device into your own network application. As a TCP client, you can take connection control into your own hands, can be contacted event-driven as a TCP server (optionally TLS-PSK encrypted) or use the efficient, connectionless UDP protocol. Of course, the new multipoint operation and the packaging options are also available here. To the application example ...
FTP client/server
Transfer and archive your serial data with the FTP on-board resources of most operating systems. Serial outputs of scales, barcode readers, etc. or status and error messages, e.g. from UPSs, are classic applications for the use of com-servers as FTP servers or FTP clients. To the application example ...
Multipoint Mode
Distribute the transmission data of your serial device to up to six network participants simultaneously. Whether for archiving or monitoring reasons, copies of the serial data can be retrieved on a configurable slave port. Filters for the authorized IP addresses are available to protect against unauthorized access.
Packaging Options
Serial protocols are often sensitive to pauses in the serial data flow during reception. In order to avoid corresponding timeouts and to ensure a closed transmission of the datagrams in a network packet, the Com-Server++ has numerous configuration options for recognizing datagram boundaries (start/end characters, start + length, etc.).
