2. Electrical panel room and technical room

– Electrical panels and transformers can short-circuit when in contact with water.
– Technical rooms can also house equipment for ventilation, cooling and heating that can affect operations.

3. Archive room and storage room for valuable documents

– Paper documents, legal archives and historical collections are sensitive to moisture and water.

4. Control rooms and monitoring centers

– Rooms with monitoring and control equipment for buildings where continuous operation is essential.

5. Medical technical premises

– In hospitals and clinics where there is advanced medical equipment that can be damaged by water.

6. Communication room

– Rooms that house telephone exchanges, network equipment or fiber optic cables that support communication in the building.

7. Fire alarm and ABA centers (Automatic Fire Alarm)

– Damage to equipment in these rooms can prevent the building’s ability to detect and deal with fires effectively.

8. UPS room (Uninterruptible Power Supply)

9. Basement and technical areas in low-lying buildings

– Basement areas of buildings at risk of flooding need special protection, especially if they house important infrastructure or storage facilities.

These premises must be assessed in relation to the risk of flooding and any need for CP67 protection, which includes waterproofing, drains, pumping systems and monitoring to ensure they are not exposed to damage from water ingress.
