Conventional timers make it possible to change daily to specify repeating switching times. In some cases, certain days of the week are also specified. The switching times but are always static and changes require on-site access on the device.
Unlike ordinary timers, the switching times of the Web-IO Time Switch in electronic calendars similar to a Appointment management recorded. For each switching output, an independent calendar. The corresponding output switches with start of an entered appointment and at the end of the appointment again again.

- Setting up recurring appointments or recurring switching times, for example:
- daily at the same time
- only on certain days of the week
- weekdays only
- only on weekends
- Determine exceptions for recurring appointments, for example:
- for holidays
- special events
- Holiday regulations
- …
- Set an end date for recurring appointments (last run)
How does the calendar get into the Web-IO

As already described, the Web-IO can use the required iCal file directly from the web server of an online calendar provider. To do this, simply configure the URL or Internet address in the Web-IO. under which the calendar is stored.
In addition, it can be determined in which cycle the switching times of the Web-IO with the online calendar.
If there is no online access, the Web-IO Time Switch switches to the – a permanent Internet access is therefore not necessary.
Manually upload calendar files
Another possibility to set the switching times for an output, consists of loading iCal files from the local hard disk into the Web-IO Time Switch.
