Interface specialist Wiesemann & Theis has expanded their USB range with a Hi-Speed USB Isolator which supports and automatically detects all USB 2.0 speeds.

The new USB Isolator 2kV Hi-Speed galvanically isolates USB 2.0 terminal devices from the PC or USB host. The Isolator thereby protects from damage caused by overvoltage or compensation currents. In addition to the functions of the previous isolators (USB Isolator 1kV #33001 and Industry 4kV, #33204), the new Hi-Speed Isolator supports signaling rates up to 480 Mbps. The USB rate used is automatically detected – no more preconfiguration needed for Low-, Full- or High-Speed.

The Isolator is simply plugged in between existing USB connections. It operates with full transparency and requires no additional drivers. LEDs indicate correct voltage supply and the data flow direction. Thanks to an isolation voltage of 2kV, high noise immunity and low noise emissions, the W&T USB Isolator 2kV Hi-Speed is ideal for office and industrial applications, control technology, and many other applications.
